Well look no further because I have got THE project for you dear glamour girl, and I promise it will cost you absolutely nothing..Yes, that’s right: nothing–zip-zero-nada!. I came across this rather “fun” dress made from Phone books. ( I know..who knew?)! What a person can do with a little glue gun and a stapler these days is amazing. So have a little fun with the old white and yellow pages and perhaps you will make someting totally fabu! Who knows how many people will be asking for your number!!!
Got to run- Project Runway is about to start and I think their designing evening gowns from cornhusks this week.
Target has done it again! The notion of bringing upscale cutting edge designers to mainstream America continues next month with the designs of Jean Paul Gaultier coming March 7 to April 11

You are truly one of the most beautiful women ever gracing the planet. Your talent and beauty are legendary in the entertainment world and around the globe (so far I think this sounds pretty respectful-right?? BUT.. (and here is where it is going to go South)… It has come to my attention as of late that perhaps it is time to reconsider your stylist. After a certain age it ‘s advisable to stop exposing more than 80% of your voluptuous bosom when on National TV and consider keeping anything with ruffles for your grandchildren. If you would like to see a good example of a beautiful actress over 50 wearing clothes that are truly flattering- take a look at your peer Helen Mirren. Now I know you think she is a Brit, and not one to really “show off the goods” –but consider for a moment that she too- has seen her last days of breast feeding and presents herself at events in something a bit more …(how shall I say this)… age appropriate. Your not 20 anymore Sophia-but you are a gorgeous 70 year old women who still can look better than the best of them.

We all have one. You know who I mean. That one girlfriend who we just adore even though she seems to roll out of bed and without a thought, reaches for some Vintage Chanel jacket, or Christian Louboutin Shoes or Dolce and Gabbana Fabulousness and zips out the door in nothing flat-looking so utterly put together you reconsider buying the French Vogue on the newsstand and instead snap a photo of her with your blackberry. Let’s face it the girl has more designer names in her wardrobe than the closet at Vogue. She is also the same girlfriend who eats whatever she wants and has remained a size 0-2 ( since she was 16 –and yes she is now over 30)…-BUT, we love her all the same. That friend of mine would be named Penny and I write this as an homage to her for all her support, both blog reading and otherwise. To that end, I have captured an item I have a feeling she will be sporting in the near fashion future. I came across this amazing designer on Sea of Shores blogspot and it is right up Penny’s designer alley. Penny loves spiders but I figured the rhinestone “one of a kind” French Designer Octopi adorning a vintage 1994 Chanel Jacket would fit the bill. Enjoy, and take note: Having a “very fashionable friend” always gives us something to aim for!
