This weekend is the annual Kentucky Derby. A “Run for the Roses”-as they say. Just between you and I, the whole event is really about Fashion. New York and Paris may have Fashion Week but in Louisville Kentucky, they have Derby Days and in Southern Speak “Honey, this is Fashion Week(end”)! Oh yes-there is a horse race to attend to –but that my darlings only takes a mere 2-3 minutes…  The rest of the weekend is one continuous clothing and hat extravaganza that officially kicks off Friday afternoon about three and doesn’t end until the last Mint Julep is poured from the pitcher late Sunday evening.
