With the Memorial Day weekend upon us, I thought you might be needing a little “somethin…somethin” to get you in the summer spirit. My three for the road -include a romper, a sundress and a recyclable tote…(all at a SALE price)! How FABU is that?? .
Sending my best wishes for a summer filled with fashionable fun!
I am flabbergasted…or in this case flapper-gasted! And why might you ask? I give you Exhibit A-.as in First Lady Michelle Obama–wearing a Peter Soren, gown that obviously didn’t fit properly. Call me crazy, but if you are the First Lady AND you are wearing a designer gown made especially for this event AND you will be photographed by gobs of press people, for the love of fashion please I beg you… abort any thought of wearing ANYTHING that causes your skin to fold/flap over. Not only does it look like you missed a fitting but the flap your making isn’t the fashionable one you going for….
The Cannes Film festival came to a fashionable finish last week but not before a few Cavalli creations were spotted on the Red Carpet and elsewhere. Here are two of my favorite Cavalli, gowns that I think epitomize the Cavalli credo: Feminine, Form fitting and Fabulous.
Hope you agree!
Did you ever contenplate how Fashion Designers -do what they do? You know, the constant pressure to keep coming up with a different design idea day after day, week after week. Well, it seems that the very talented Giorgio Armani, allows his designs to literally morph into one another. Take a look at these 4 fabulous gowns, worn in the last 3 months and see if you can’t find… “a common thread.”
Jumpsuits are IN for Summer 2010! There is no better way to get dressed in a matter of minutes and walk out the door looking ultra chic than this “one piece wonder.” The jumpsuit has come and gone throughout the years but it always seems to make a comeback in better fabrications and silhouettes. This summer you have so many options and price points to purchase the jumpsuit. A few “fit tips” to make this look really work for you would be:
1. Length: Make sure the jumpsuit is long enough to wear with a strappy sandal if you’re going for a jumpsuit with a full length pant. If the length of pant is cropped-you’re pretty much good to go.
2. Fit: Very, very important that it does not pull, gape or tug at the bust, waist or hip areas. You want to go for a smooth line with the jumpsuit to make you look flawless.
3. Fabrication: Knits and cottons are summer favorites. They are fabrics that keep you cool.
Keep these pointers in mind when purchasing your jumpsuit and you’ll be dressed and out the door faster than you can say jump!
