He’s Ba.a.a.a.ck! That pint sized…past Project Runway winner and wonder of a designer: Christian Siriano. Christian has partnered with the peeps at Payless Shoes to design another collection of affordable and fabulous footwear for fall 2012. The collection will arrive on September 12 at all Payless Shoe Stores and will include 9…count um 9 Siriano designed and labeled styles.
During his Fall 2012 runway show at New York Fashion Week, Christian opted out of using high priced Jimmy Choos and Manolos to complete his runway looks and instead decided to premiere his latest footwear designs for Payless.Who would have thought that Mercedes Benz Fashion Week would have pairs of Payless Shoes strutting the catwalk? It’s a new day!!! The best part of this whole shoe story is that all nine styles are under $60.00. (YES you are reading that right and No, I did not forget a zero after the $60). Just thought I would give you something to look forward to!

Most Improved: (wait for it) Meryl Streep in Lanvin. (I had been quite disappointed with the seleciton of gowns that Meryl wore this awards seaason until..tonight. This gown was HEAVEN! Bravo-a gown worthy of her golden talent.

The wait is almost over…..
Mad Men, the hit TV show on AMC (which has been gone for far too long due to some contract snafu) is finally returning March 25. In tandem with that much awaited return of the show, Banana Republic and Janie Bryant (Mad Men’s Emmy award winning costume designer) have once again collaborated to bring a Mad Men capsule collection for spring. The Mad Men Limited Edition Collection is filled with 40 pieces of retro style apparel and jewelry and will be available online and in stores starting March 1.
Banana Republic and AMC will also be celebrating the launch of the collection with two special access events. Customers and fans can visit Banana Republic’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bananarepublic) and AMC’s Mad Men website (www.amctv.com/shows/mad-men) for details.
