April showers bring May flowers and …lots of fabulous spring fashion!

Like most fashionistas I receive a bevy of emails from retail sites focusing on (what else) fashion. There’s Hautelook, Rue Lah Lah, Gilt, Shop it to me, etc.etc.etc.-you get the picture I am totally” in the loop” for all things Glamour worthy.  Along with the numerous sale sites I am also on a long and lengthy list of bloggers and assorted sundry websites that cover the “dish” related to fashion. This may sound like I need a 12 step program or some sort of fashion detox BUT I do it all so I can bring the latest and greatest scoop did-dee scoop on fashion for you! I confess, I’m addicted to Pinterest. A friend of mine told me about this online pin board a few months ago and I must admit that once I began pinning I just couldn’t stop. It’s such a great resource for EVERYTHING. You can find  fashion inspiration, food recipes, interior design details and a bevy of just about anything else you could have an interest it. Through the Front Door...

Admit it, we all love to see how other people live. So imagine having the rare opportunity to take a peek into the home of one of the most notable trend setters and style mavens in fashion. Enter Jenna Lyons-President and Creative Director of J. Crew.  Ms. Lyons is currently going through a rather public (not to mention nasty) divorce from artist husband Vincent Mazeau. As most break ups go between two prominent people the first thing to divide is the home. Originally built  in the 1880′s this Park Slope home is  being sold  by  Sotheby’s with an asking price of  3.75 million.  The home is magnificent, decorated in a very stylish and uber chic aesthetic covering  4400 square feet. As in all things that Jenna Lyons has a hand in-the interior looks picture perfect. How sad that the marriage apparently wasn’t. Here’s to wishing Ms. Lyons and family happier days ahead.

***Update: Just minutes ago a newsfeed came across the web stating that the home has been sold for   4 million  (7 per cent above the asking price) to Vincent and Tracy Martin.  

O.K…. So.o.o.o.,you know you’re busy 24/7 when you forget the date of your own birthday. To be clear-it wasn’t my actual birthday but instead that of my blog Go To Glamour Girl.

It has been a wonderful and joyous three years at GTGG. We have shared many moments of fashion inspiration, Monday mantras,closet organization and wardrobe know-how… all in the eternal quest to live a more beautiful and glamorous life.  As we turn the page onto our third year  at GTGG, you will soon notice a revised and improved  home page format (courtesy of my fantastic hosting team and their delightful designers), and the RSS feed  will FINALLY be fixed so that you can sign on for GTGG updates.

Intermix-the trendy designer boutique has opened in the  Brentwood County Mart. Currently, Intermix has stores on Robertson, at the Lumber Yard in Malibu and now the Brentwood County Mart. A fourth Intermix store is set to open on Beverly Drive in April, making a total of 4 Intermix stores in the Los Angeles area alone.

While other retailers are sputtering during the current economic downturn, Intermix continues to grow! So.o.o what’s their secret?
