Alex Perry Craving(s)

Here’s the thing about blogging,…You sit in front of your computer, perfectly poised to write a story and inspire your wonderful readers on the topic of white dresses for Summer. Just as you’re posting the first white dress that you are lovvving on-this happens. You find that the white dress is made by a label you are not familiar with. Now this is a major conundrum, since I am pretty much sourcing fashion 24/7 and thought I knew just about every designer out there or at the very least heard of them in passing on Pinterest,Vogue or Instagram. Imagine my surprise, when I come across this beautiful white confection and the image source listed is Designer Alex Perry. I ponder for a nano second: “Who is Alex Perry?” Come to find out (faster than you can Google his name at warp speed), Alex Perry is an Australian Fashion Designer with some pretty fabulous style. He designs dresses That’s it… dresses. Beautiful sleek, stylish dresses that are gorgeous and tailored to perfection.

Here’s a sweet sampling of his designs.

Meet Sebastian Grey

Project Runway Season 17 WINNER-South Florida Designer Sebastian Grey

Sebastian Grey-remember that name. Sebastian just won Season 17 of Project Runway and I have a feeling his path will mirror that of a previous winner named Christian Siriano. Christian has gone on to great success in Fashion and I have no doubt that Sebastian will follow a similar path.

Originally from Columbia, Sebastian came to America to pursue the American Dream. He had a vision to be a designer and make beautiful clothes Until winning Project Runway Season 17, Sebastian made a living cleaning homes and designing in his spare time. Clearly gifted and unbelievably creative with a vision, hard work and design skills that hedge on being “couture worthy” his days of cleaning houses have ended. Winning Project Runway not only allows him the freedom to finally have the money to design and market his own line of clothing but establish his brand in the industry. I have a feeling we’ll all be clamoring to wear his creations in the very near future.

A sampling of some of Sebastian’s previous designs on Project Runway.

POP of Color

Posted By: Terri
Category: Designer Spotlight

Just in time for Summer and maybe to inspire you to put a little pep in your step for the week ahead, I want to highlight a fun and fanciful collection from Max Mara Nantucket Weekend .

The Nantucket Collection is a collaboration between Max Mara and Interior designer Anthony Baratta ( known for his vibrant colors, and flamboyant motifs).

Originally sourced and featured in French Vogue(where I first spotted the beautiful pics) it’s been a bit of a challenge linking you directly to each piece. I have found a few items still available on the Saks (Fifth Avenue site) and Matches Fashion.com. Pre Sell must have been brisk!

At the end of the day I hope you will find the pieces inspirational and perhaps motivate you to mix up your Summer attire a bit to include some unexpected patterns and colors.

Here’s to putting a little POP of color in your day and …your wardrobe.

Happy Sunday.
