Oscar Gowns 2011-The Misses who Missed!

Helena Bonham Carter-Helena says: "She doesn't dress for Fashion." Don't you love a girl with such strong convictions!

Scarlett Johansen in Dolce & Gabanna..Scarlett, Is it true that you didn’t want to go the Oscars BUT out for Chinese instead? Fire your stylist ASAP.
Cate Blanchett in Givenchy Couture-O.K. so it comes down to a matter of taste. So many fashion critics LOVED this dress..but I thought it looked like she was wearing a gown with a round placemat marking on the front.

Melissa Leo in Marc Bouwer-Didn’t like the high collar, the short sleeves or the heavy lace look..it would have been nice to see her in a dress with softer details. Something to “smooth out” the rough edges of her acceptance speech.

Nicole Kidman in Dior Couture…(Nicole-I positively adore you BUT this dress didn’t do you justice-the design reminded me of an Oragami napkin fold

Jackie Weaver-Let's start with saying Congrats on your Oscar Nom..(trying to be nice here)..NOW about THAT Dress: Here are a few tips. When you are a woman of stature you want to embrace the V-neck..it will elongate. Also choose something that skims/glides over the body to show your shape (with the help of spanx-honey, even Halle Berry wears um...) and stay away from any type of poufiness on the lower body.Hope that helps. A lot of whatever you assert is astonishingly appropriate and that makes me ponder why I had not looked at this in this light before. This article truly did turn the light on for me as far as this subject goes.
