FIT Exhibit

It must be summer because museums around the globe seem to be ramping up some fabulous fashion exhibits for tourists to enjoy. Last week I feature the latest offering at the Victoria and Albert museum in England and thanks to the purveyors of fashion at FIT in New York another exhibit has opened entitled Fashion A-Z…Highlights from the Collection of the Museum at FIT. The exhibit is the second of two consecutive exhibits that spotlights selected designs from the museums permanent collection. Word on the street is that the collection in total at FIT consists of (wait for it…) 50,000 garments and accessories. Wouldn’t you like to take a stroll through that massive clothing vault? The exhibit is located in the Textile History Gallery at the Museum at FIT and is running until November 10, 2012. So.o.o.o if you should find yourself in NYC and want to see some major fashion at it‘s design finest. Check this exhibit out.
