Easy DIY:Brush-Clean Up

I know that the holidays make us crazy busy. There’s  all the prepping and parties and making sure on top of all the hustle and bustle that you look Glamour Girl ready. To that end, I thought it might be a nice reminder to include an easy DIY on cleaning your make up brushes. Say what? Yep-you heard me… cleaning your make up brushes is mucho important so you don’t risk a breakout during the holidays. I found this easy peasy DIY brush cleaning solution courtesy of Pinterest and and additional tutorial from a blog entitled: Beauty Anywhere/make up by Rachel to help you out..

1. Take a tablespoon of white vinegar in a cup of hot water, and a 20 minute soak, followed by a hot, then cold rinse and pat dry will do it. Disinfects, dissolves grease/makeup, leaves no film, and inexpensive.

2. Rinse out your brushes with lukewarm water, squeeze out the excess water, and make sure they are smoothed out into their original form. Lay your brushes on a towel flat to dry overnight.
