Monday Mood & Tips to get you through…

Hello Monday! Did you ever have one of those nights when you didn’t sleep a wink. Wellll that was me last night -suffice it to say this is pretty much my mood today. Try as we all may to make this a great day…tired or not! WIshing you a vibrant week ahead. xoT

Tips to get you through the day when you didn’t sleep the night before:

  1. Drink lots of water…I mean like Titanic amounts of water. Hydrate hydrate hydrate. It will cleanse your system and keep you going. If you add  a squirt of organic lemon to your water all the better!
  2. Exercise. I know you’re probably thinking Yeah right. I’m exhausted BUT moving the body keeps you moving throughout the day. You don’t have to run a marathon, go for a brisk walk, lift some light weights. Just get your metabolism up .
  3. Cold Water Splash:  My Mother always told me after getting up-“Go and splash some cold water on your face.” I’m here to say that she was spot on with this one. Not only does the cold water revitalize your pores but it certainly does wake you up.
  4. Eat Healthy: I know it sounds like a no brainer but a lack of sleep makes us numb to our senses and by senses I mean we crave sweets.
  5. Quick Nap: If at all possible try and take a 20 minute nap sometime during the day but preferably in the afternoon. If you make it past 4 PM  without closing your eyes for a moment then just muscle through till bedtime.
  6. Get to Bed Early: Turn off the computer and ALL electronic devices no later than 7 PM. Try  a bath with lavender Epsom salts, do some nighttime yoga or sip on some Sleepy time tea. You get the picture-UNPLUG and get in slumber mode.
