I came across an Etsy site today that I consider to be a “must see” for any and all Glamour Girls looking to send some witty greetings via the USPS. The name of the shop is Vintageous Paper Goods and it’s one sweet shop filled with cards that are witty, fun and fashionably fabulous. I’ve featured just a few of the cards here and for the complete line click on any image and you will land on her sensational site: Enjoy!
Did you get the MEMO???
Wallpaper is staging a BIG comeback ! Who knew?? As of now- we both do.
Wallpaper sales are booming as of late and there seems to be no slowdown in site. This is not your Grandparents wallpaper of long ago. Instead of the subtle shades and minimal prints of yesteryear, todays wallpaper options run the gamut from subtle to bold and can be found in a wide variety of colors, prints and adhesive options with the self adhesive wallpaper variety being the newest and most favored by consumers.
Should you need a little inspiration for an upcoming wallpaper project, I’ve provided a few suggestions with links for purchase. Go forth and decorate!

There seems to be something magical when numbers align in such a spectacular way. It makes one feel that perhaps this is some sort of divine order happening and I think we can all agree that after the last 2 years dealing with a Pandemic and all the other assorted craziness in the world -we are ready to take a collective breath and engage in some magical alignment.

FEBRUARY
Fun Facts and Dates
- #FACT February is one of the most misspelled words in the English language. Yep, you read that right. February is one of the most misspelled words. What is the most misspelled word … well that honor goes to “Quarantine”. Most people thought it was spelled “Corn Teen”. Even the White House has misprinted the word “February” before in a press release.
- Thank you, Julius Caesar. February officially was added to the Roman Calendar in 713 BC. Julius Caesar remade the Roman Calendar and officially assigned the month 28 and 29 days.
- At one point it has only 23 days! Can you image only 23 days to the month.
- February comes from the Latin word for “Februum”. Februum means purification and relates to a Roman Purification festival which was like an early Roman Spring Cleaning thing.
- No Full Moon: February is the only month where it is possible to go the entire time without having a full moon.
- Being Born on a Leap Year: Oh and if you are wondering there is about 1 in 1461 chance of being born on a leap year.
- Days in February…I had no idea some of these even existed. I often wonder who actually comes up with these dedicated days of celebration?
February 1 – National Dark Chocolate Day not to mention the start of Luna New Year! (FYI It’s the Year of the Water Tiger)
February 2 – National Groundhog Day
February 3 – National Carrot Cake Day
February 4 – National Thank a Mail Carrier Day
February 6 – National Chopstick Day
February 7 – National Send a Card to a Friend Day
February 8 – National Kite Flying Day (Perhaps May would be a better month to celebrate?) Just say’n.
February 9 – National Pizza Day
February 10 – National Umbrella Day
February 11 – National Inventors’ Day
February 14 – Valentines Day
February 15 – Singles Awareness Day
February 16 – National Almond Day
February 17 – National Random Acts of Kindness Day
February 20 – National Love Your Pet Day
February 22 – National California Day
February 23 – National Banana Bread Day (Recipes will be forthcoming)!
February 26 – National Tell a Fairy Tale Day
February 27 – National Reto Day
February 28 – National Floral Design Day
I hope you had a great week and are looking forward to a spooktacular Halloween.
After a year of waiting for this holiday to happen (as last year it was pretty much CANCELLED) people seem to be over the Moon and ready to celebrate! I couldn’t help but notice many of my neighbors going all out to get everyone in the Halloween spirit.
Below is just a small sample of what I see on my evening walks. I am so lucky to live near some pretty amazing and creative neighbors.
Happy Halloween!

Halloween in LA
Happy Friday and the Helloooooo October!
Fall is just a few weeks old. In many parts of the country, cooler weather has arrived. Sad to say that here in LA, it’s going to be 98 degrees today and I’m selecting a sundress to wear today. Soooo much for Fall weather!?! Right. But I remain optimistic and look forward to the arrival of cooler days ahead because the calendar does say it’s FALL after all!
Bearing in mind that we ‘re transitioning seasons from Summer to Fall, it’s also the time of year that we should be thinking about transitioning our closets. I refer to this closet “transition task” as
The Fall Flip.
I ‘m well aware that today is Friday, and flipping your closet from one season to the next, is probably not a high priority for the weekend. But, what I am here to do, is help you ease into the “thought” of starting to closet flip after the weekend is over. Think “baby steps” and start with the following categories listed below. I will circle back next week to give you a few more tips to flip. In the meantime, I gently suggest that you start considering aka “thinking” about sorting and storing your Summer Staples by category.
Here are my top 3 easy and simple suggestions (by category).
- It’s time to Boot UP! Flip your shoe selections from Summer Sandals/Flip Flops and Espadrilles to Boots/booties and cold weather footwear.

2. Sweater weather is upon us! Change out your tank tops/ t-shirts/shorts/capris and swimwear for all your beautiful sweaters. Fold accordingly and put Summer items in storage.

Time to pack up and Store: Summer t-shirts, tops and knitwear
3. Have the right Handbag: The Fall Handbag Flip...Change out and store your Straw Totes & Bright Colored Bags to Fall & Winter Satchels, Handbags, and special occasion clutches.

Summer Bags should be stored away. Storage solutions for handbags on GTGG post 9/8/2021 Handbag Hang Up & Storage solutions …Click on Image /blog post for info

Winter Bags & Boots and evening clutches!

More to come next week: Winter Coats/Holiday wear and more!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Tuesday’s Tip is all about Wallpaper. It wasn’t that long ago, that wallpaper seemed sooooo passe. BUT, I am here to say, that a POP of wallpaper can add some major style to any space. I have a major penchant for adding wallpaper in strategic spots in your home. The closet is one of my favorite spaces to use a splash of wallpaper to add interest and texture. You can also use wallpaper to make a small space pop… like a minimal Entrance hall or line your dresser drawers with leftover scraps. Take a peak and get inspired by these wallpapered wonders.

Givenchy (circa 2003)
Today is the last day of Summer! I know… it’s hard to believe but, Summer is O.V.E.R.
And Now for the Good NEWS!!!.Fall begins tomorrow and with it brings about cooler days, sweater weather and the beauty of the leaves changing colors-which is a reminder to us all that as the leaves change ….so can we! It’s the perfect time to take stock before the year comes to an end and focus on what you want to accomplish before we say good bye to 2021.
As Tuesday is ” Tip Day “on the blog- I have a simple suggestion that should add a dose of Pretty in your day and it’s done with something you already have laying around the house. Ready????
If you’ve been storing your pretty Pearls(be it faux or real)perhaps it’s time to take them out of storage and start accessorizing. Pearls have major staying power – when it comes to style and I’m here to offer some images that I hope will reignite your love for pearls and inspire you to start wearing or at least displaying some “Pretty Pearls” around you. Have a fabulous Tuesday. xoT.
