Paging….Diana Frey

Paging… Diana Frey. Diana are you there?

Hello Glamour Girls. If you visit this blog on any sort of continuous basis you know I have a major penchant for sharing some pretty things especially when they have a bit of bling. I mean, what would life be without a little (or a lot of SPARKLE). Answer…not nearly as pretty! And Glamour Girl we are ALL about THE PRETTY!

Recently, I shared on my personal Facebook page a photo featuring the most beautiful heart frame boxes designed by mixed media jewelry artist extraordinaire- Diana Frey. Try as I may to “pin” her down to purchase said item(s) listed on Flickr and advertised on Pinterest,, I came to a total standstill. Not to be detoured from my intention to find Ms. Frey, I sourced her via Flickr (where I emailed her to get info) her Etsy shop (which has been down as she is taking “a short break”) and her Facebook page which I cannot seem to locate with numerous listing for Diana Frey, NONE of which seem to be the wonderful artist in demand. In an effort to not be reported as an internet crazy person/stalker …I will wait the recommended 3 day grace period and reach out again via Etsy which still lists an email address. Fingers crossed that maybe just maybe we will make contact.

In the meantime,I’ve posted a sampling of her designs. One look and I think you’ll agree her designs are beautiful and oh so sparkly. If you’re out there Diana Frey we must find you and your jewelry.

Paging…Diana Frey.

Jewelry Organization Tips and Tricks

Posted By: Terri
Category: Fashion tips

When one of your dearest friends on the planet tells you she has just dropped the contents of her jewelry box on the floor and is in need of some jewelry organization tips, one does not hesitate for even a nano second to oblige.

My friend Mary, is a major and I do mean MAJOR… Glamour Girl. She is a  classic beauty and surrounds herself with the most gorgeous pieces. (Read into that ….Mary has a very elevated taste level aka great taste)! When she mentioned that the jewelry box  had fallen on the floor I wanted to fly right out and bend down and pick up every bit of bling because when it comes to Mary, you just know every piece is Estate worthy and who doesn’t love an afternoon admiring some pretty substantial sparkly!

As time was of the essence, I wanted to respond and give Mary some easy  organizing tips that require a few simple steps:

There are basically two basic components of jewelry organization:

  1. Group like items together
  2. Make sure you can see EVERYTHING. (If you don’t see it you won’t use it or…. even remember you have it). i.e. Don’t even think of throwing everything in a drawer without any dividers because when it comes to jewelry we are talking major tangling and possibly damaging your beautiful bling (and that is so NOT happening on my watch).

If you have the drawer space I suggest:

A. Drawer organizers (available at The Container Store and Michael’s)

B. If you lack drawer space opt for displaying your items in pretty trays and decorative  items on  top of your dresser. (see above photo)

C. If you have oodles of wall space, might I suggest a decorative hanging of your most beautiful items for easy access and major display options.

P.S. Miss you Mary-Wish I was there to help organize your fabulous jewelry drawers.

Who ever said that Bling looks good with EVERYTHING..was totally right! Oh wait a minute I think it was I who said that! Truth be told I love bling and that should be no surprise if you read my blog-there’s a whole lot of sparkle going on and I am guilty as charged when it comes to putting on a statement necklace to elevate an outfit. Well there is that or if per chance you have to bring in a plane for landing. Te-he. A great statement piece looks beauuutiful paired with a simple tshirt or the most elegant dress in your wardrobe. So if you’re in need of putting a little pep in your step or simply want to break out of the habit of storing your beautiful necklaces for a special occasion consider wearing your pretty pieces on a daily rotation. Here are a few suggestions to get your statement pieces out of storage and into your wardrobe.

I admit I have a major penchant for SPARKLE. Throughout the years I have come to “embrace” the notion that every outfit could benefit from a little bit of bling. BLING..is not just for dress up anymore but for your daily dose of “pretty. ” Pair a little bit of shine with a tee or denim or really ANYTHING for that matter.  However you decide to adorn yourself -when it comes to bling… I have two bits of wisdom to impart:

1. Make it a STATEMENT piece.

2.Bear in mind that if the bling you are wearing is on the rather large side (i.e. the shine alone  from said bling could bring in small planes) one only need wear ONE major bit of bling at a time.
