O.K. your probably thinking isn’t Tuesday’s Treat suppose to be something luscious and fattening and forbidden? Well, yes it is but every once in awhile I like to shake things up a bit. With the end of Summer looming and those last minute trips to the beach, why not opt for something healthy. To the rescue: a FABU recipe that will make you feel like you’ve spent the day at the spa. It’s refreshing and healthy not to mention all the beautiful body benefits you will reap from just drinking  a glass. Enjoy.

  • 1 Cored pineapple
  • 1 (large) carton of Strawberries
  • Ice and  water

  • Layer fruit with ice in a beautiful beverage server or pitcher and then fill-up with water
  • Pour intobeautiful glasses and accent with some pineapple and strawberries

Pineapple is a fruit that represents good fortune and hospitality. For centuries, people would present this sweet fruit to family and friends as a lovely gift. Today, we enjoy this delectable treat in desserts, dishes and drinks. Rich in a variety of vitamins and minerals, it has been known to strengthen the immune system and decrease the severity of colds and infections. Pineapple also contains an enzyme that enhances digestion and destroys harmful bacteria in the stomach and intestines.

Strawberries complement the flavor of pineapple, and when blended together, they create such a beautiful pink hue. This berry is a super food and is known to lower the risk of cancer, plus provides many other health benefits.

It has been hot…hot…hot… outside and  I thought it might be nice to share this  easy peasy way to cool off. Take a fruit pop and slip  gently into a half filled glass of Prosecco. As the fruit pop melts it flavors the Prosecco and honey I am here to  tell you it  tastes like….HEAVEN!

Don’t you feel better already? Chill out and enjoy!
