The Emmy Awards are this weekend. Can we all take a collective breath and sit upright on the edge of our seats for some much needed evening gown glamour-or as I like to abbreviate and refer to it as EGG.(It’s kind of like an EKG- which of course tests the electrical activity of our heart, only better- because it’s a reaction to fashion). Let’s face it Glamour Girls, after a long hot summer void of any award shows it is high time to feast our eyes on beautiful gowns. I can hardly wait!
Emmy Night was Hot! I’m not just referring to the temperature outside but to the beautiful gowns on the attendees. Even with temperatures soaring into the 90’s and stars standing in line from 2 in the afternoon until the show opening at 5 to answer the all important question: “Who are you wearing?” the stars managed to keep their make up from melting and their dresses from soiling with sweat. The season’s trend of head to toe shine was apparent in gowns made of Silver or Gold beading. Beautiful silhouettes were draped in colors of midnight blue, vibrant green, royal purple, basic black, ethereal white and the hottest color of the season-RED.
Stylists kept statement jewelry to a minimum… I guess it wouldn’t be wise to sport a 12 million dollar diamond necklace-(even though it is borrowed for the evening) when viewers are home scaling back on their party menus to include only chips and dip.

Sarah Sillverman-You are a terrific comedian. However-just becasue you are funny doesn't mean you have to look funny. Was this a Prom dress that you never got to wear?
- Patricia Arquette- Your show is named Medium-that my dear is NOT your bra size!
