Summertime and the living is easy..(or at least it should be).I am all about relaxed dressing when the temps soar upward and nothing can be more figure flattering than a well fitted skirt in a pretty floral to perk up your look. Here are two to try:the fitted pencil and a fabulous full skirt that gives you an uber fashionable look for the warm weather ahead.
Sometime after Valentine’s Day THAT feeling sets in. You know which feeling I am talking about-the one that speaks to you when you are standing in your closet and you long to let go of layering and are eager to embrace some lighter, brighter apparel. In other words let’s bring on Spring BIGTIME! It won’t be to much longer till we can literally smell the flowers but until then here’s a bit of floral fashion to inspire you!
Tables are being set for Easter and Passover celebrations this weekend and for my money there is nothing that says Glam better than a beautiful floral arrangement. The good news is that you needn’t spend gobs of money to make a centerpiece that is spectacular. You can pick up tulips at just about any grocery store right now and put them in a beautiful vase with your choice of lemon or lime slices. The look is uber chic and so.o.o easy to do.
If your celebrating Easter, and want to carry your egg color theme going why not try the option of a vase within a vase. Between the two –you put in your colored eggs/or you might even try jellybeans and then insert your flowers in the smaller inside container. So whimsical!
Whatever you celebrate this weekend…I hope it will be memorable and filled with Glamour.
Zac Posen Spring 2012 Collection
How does that Broadway song go??? “Everything’s coming up roses” That certainly seems to be the case for Spring 2012.
Let’s face it there’s nothing more feminine than a flock of floral to make a woman feel fabulous. This spring we have a pretty pairing of posies to adorn our clothing . Florals can be found in everything fashionable: long gowns, pretty pumps, blouses, caftans, handbags, jeans.and accessories..
If you’re afraid of wearing floral and in need of some fashion advice I just happen to have a few tips for you:
1. The size of the floral print does matter. Larger floral prints will make the area appear the same-LARGER..If you want to minimize a spot on your fabulous frame opt out for a smaller floral print.
2.Placement of the floral print should be noted. (For example: You don’t want two oversized daisies adorning your derriere or breast area. )
3. Color is so important. When it comes to color-darker will make an area appear smaller, brighter will accent an area.
4. Please…I’m begging you, don’t wear floral head to toe.The floral print will pop when you pair it with a solid accent color. For example, when wearing a dress with a floral print consider a solid color found in the print to coordinate a belt/pump or handbag. If you’re still perplexed on which color within the floral print to spotlight why not try a nude/skintone color heel to elongate your leg and make you appear thinner…and I ask you -what Glamour Girl doesn’t want that! (Note the Zac Posen picture above).
5. Like everything else when it comes to fashion if you don’t feel comfortable wearing floral you can still participate in the trend by adding a pretty floral accent piece.(Handbags, scarves, shoes, jewelry) are all available in pretty floral options.
6. Remember fashion should be fun… so add some floral and feel fabulous this spring.
