Michael Jackson Posed for his Last Ebony Cover 11/2008
Last week Hollywood lost 3 great entertainers-Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. (If by some freak of nature you happen to miss these news items- you either had to be on Mars or perhaps stuck in Filenes’s Basement…)
Upon hearing of Ed McMahon’s passing on Tuesday June 24,, and then Farrah’s death early in the morning on June 25, we were beyond grief stricken with the shocking news of Michael Jackson’s sudden passing – a mere four hours after Farrah.
Living in Hollywood, you see first hand the massive lines to view Michael Jackson’s star on the walk of fame, the constant news coverage, and the rampant speculation about his sudden death. As the days pass it becomes apparent that no matter what you felt personally about Mr. Jackson, one cannot deny that he was one of the most talented and extraordinary entertainers of our time.
They say that death comes in threes. I can only wonder about the passing last week of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson in that exact order. Perhaps Johnny (Carson) finally has his line up in place-Ed to his side announcing Farrah, -as his first guest of the evening followed by Michael – as the “musical guest” to wrap up the show.
What a line-up that would be….maybe that’s why it’s called Heaven?
