Don’t you just love a great looking jumpsuit? Me too! There are so many styles to choose from, in so many colors- it can be a bit mind boggling.  But don’t worry-did you really think I would taunt you with the idea of wearing a jumpsuit and not offer any style tips? NEVER! So.o.o here are a few guidelines to  keep in mind as you shop for the jumpsuit that’s perfect for you.  What are you waiting for? Let’s jump to it!

1. We all know that Black is the Go-to Hue that looks good on you! It’s chic, slimming and can negate any figure imperfections.

2. Prints can be a girls best friend but bear in mind that the larger or more pronounced the print the larger an area may appear.

3. Tailored Jumpsuits can be the most flattering style of all. I know! Who knew? It doesn’t matter if your a  4 or a 14, if the Fit is perfection- you will be too!

4. The Wrap Style jumpsuit is one of the most wearable and flattering silhouettes available-if you don’t believe me call Diane Von Furstenburg.

5. If you are blessed with breasts-best to avoid anything even remotely resembling a tube top. Remember in all things designed with little support-you best wear the proper undergarments to give yourself  a lift).

Jumpsuits are IN for Summer 2010! There is no better way to get dressed in a matter of minutes and walk out the door looking ultra chic than this “one piece wonder.” The jumpsuit has come and gone throughout the years but it always seems to make a comeback in better fabrications and silhouettes. This summer you have so many options and price points to purchase the jumpsuit. A few “fit tips” to make this look really work for you would be:

1. Length: Make sure the jumpsuit is long enough to wear with a strappy sandal if you’re going for a jumpsuit with a full length pant. If the length of pant is cropped-you’re pretty much good to go.

2. Fit: Very, very important that it does not pull, gape or tug at the bust, waist or hip areas. You want to go for a smooth line with the jumpsuit to make you look flawless.

3. Fabrication: Knits and cottons are summer favorites. They are fabrics that keep you cool.

Keep these pointers in mind when purchasing your jumpsuit and you’ll be dressed and out the door faster than you can say jump!

Jumping into Jumpsuits

Jumping into Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits have made a comeback, or at least they’re trying too. The problem with the one piece apparel wonder is that depending on its cut, fabrication and basic form fitting properties it can be so FABU or so NOT FOR YOU!  If your closet won’t feel complete unless you have added this item to your wardrobe here are a few tips that might help you decide if you want to take the big jump!

The taller the better if you want to really make this look work. If you lack in the height department, slip into a “comfy” pair of 7 inch heels.

A deep V neckline is very elongating. but try to use a little taste and decorum to not go to low- like J Lo.

Don’t bring on the cling, make sure fabric falls smoothly over your curves.

If all else fails…one word- Spanx!
