Here are just a few  examples to get you inspired . Pair your neutrals together and add that extra special accessory to amp your style up just a tad. Happy Monday and have a beautiful week ahead.

Monochromatic Monday

Today I want to share one of my absolute favorite styling secrets to looking taller, slimmer and chic. It’s called monochromatic dressing.  I’ve  know I’ve blogged about this on more than one occasion, mainly  due to the fact that it’s one of my favorite ways to dress, in addition to styling my clients in head to toe shades of the same color to help them look and feel fabulous!

If per chance you think this look could hedge on borrrring or perhaps consider that you have to make every item matchy-matchy-(translation-that they have to be the exact same shade for the monochromatic look to work) that would be inccorrect. Monochromatic dressing is  anything but boring and you can mix textures within the same color to have a look that appears chic, expensive and well thought out.

Here’s a little style inspo to get you into a monochromatic Monday sort of mood!

Enjoy!

If you want to look pulled together, super chic and maybe  even appear like you’ve lost 5-10 pounds over the weekend it’s as easy (and I do mean EASY) as wearing one color palette from head to toe. Faster than you can brew your morning  cup of espresso-you can pull together a  monochromatic look that  makes you feel marvelous! (And I ask…who doesn’t want that especially- on a Monday?!

Truth be told, I will admit to opting out and wearing basic black head to toe (but that’s wayyy to easy) and lately I’m feeling a need  for a little more color in our lives. The good news… is that you can achieve the same stylish and sleek appearance by mixing different textures in the same color palette.

I’ve shared a few colorful options just to get you inspired. Here’s to having a fabuuulous  Monochromatic Monday.

Show of hands…”How many of you want to look taller and thinner.” What if I told you that YES in dee dee  you could easily look up to 10 pounds thinner and appear taller without  (and here’s the biggie) dieting or exercise? The answer is right in your closet-yes YOUR closet. It’s dressing monochromatically Yep! It’s as easy as wearing all one color. You can and will appear taller and thinner by merely wearing all one hue. You can mix textures but the look should all be in the same color palette. It’s easy and you most likely have pieces already in your closet to do this little style trick tomorrow. Try this and see how many people look at you a little bit in awe and wonder…How did you morph into a total Glamazon  literally overnight.   Just remember  one color head to toe is the way to go.

Monochromatic Mondays….

Awwww Monday. Do you find yourself looking into your closet with that fist Cup of Joe and scratching your heading wondering what to wear to work after a weekend of ….relaxing? Don’t feel guilty-isn’t  that what weekends are for in the first place: sleeping in, eating those chips and dips or that extra helping of whatever that are totally off limits during the week, or kicking back and nixing any thought of physical exercise unless it involves something connected to securing the TV remote. Yep, the weekends are a great time to recharge. The only problem: How does one dress in a way that looks professional but hides any tell tales signs of a weekend well lived?

Two Words: Monochromatic Dressing. It’s a Hollywood secret that celebs stylists use all the time. Wearing all one color head to toe will make you appear taller, thinner and perfectly put together aka “professional as all get out.” It’s easier than you might think to attain this monochromatic look on Monday or any day of the week. There’s no need to think you have to wear the EXACT same color and fabrications head to toe but instead recommend that monochromatic is synonymous with pairing items in in the same color palette allowing the mixture of textures and tones to add interest.
