Anne Hathaway is one quick change artist. I don’t know who was changing fashion(s) faster-Ms. Hathaway or her stylist Rachel Zoe? Anne was a “vision” on stage with no less than 7 changes during the Oscars. She arrived wearing a ravishing red Valentino, gown which brought the grand total for the evening to equal 8 wardrobe changes.
It must be a difficult balance (fashionably speaking) when your stylist is BFF to so many in the biz (aka…Valentino, Vivianne Westwood, Giorgio Armani, Tom Ford (who P.S. just opened a new store in Beverly Hills 2 nights before -that the Zoester attended), Lanvin, Brian Atwood (P.S.S. Zoe and Brian are major BFF’s- he designed a boot and named it after her). Imagine that everyone you know has a gown//pantsuit/shoe/purse…etc…etc…etc. that could get worldwide exposure by appearing on your client who is a Co- Host at the Academy Awards. Think of how many fashionestas are tuning into this night of nights in Hollywood and it is your job to not only dress the host, but style her outfit in such a way that EVERYONE will be calling said designer to purchase it- the morning after. Think of all the photographs being taken and transmitted worldwide..via facebook, twitter, and of course fahsion blogs, at ZERO cost out of the designers advertising budget. We are talking billions of viewers and millions of dollars of free publicity! Now, decide which “fashion friends” you are going to feature on your client to make her look her very best and at the same time narrow the field to the most enticing selections. Talk about working overtime! All I can say is: Job well done Rachel Zoe and Anne Hathaway. You deserve a large dose of designer downtime.
