The Oscar 2016 Red Carpet had all the usual suspects…Charlize, Cate, Lady Gaga,Heidi, and a number of new comers Alicia, Priyanka, Saoirse and Margot in Gucci, Marchesa, Armani, Vuitton, Calvin (Klein) and Zurhair Murad. Basically another night of glitz and glam or as I say and I quote: One of my favorite nights of the year because a girl can never have toooo much sparkle.
The hottest party in town on Oscar night is the Vanity Fair Soiree. It is star studded and a who’s who of Hollywood, Every Glamour Girl knows you can’t be caught dead in the same dress after you win an Oscar so two of the nights biggest winners did a little “quick change.(see above)
We end with a little “back story” on Oscar dress #1
Kate Beckinsale
It’s Oscar weekend and you know what that means..gorgeous gowns galore! It’s one of my favorite nights of the year-I LOVE the Oscars..L.O.V.E. I’m not sure if it’s the excitement in LA during Oscar week, the movies or the fashion but I have a feeling that a good gown can always get a true Glamour Girl excited.Pull up a seat and watch the best Red Carpet fashion has to offer ….
It’s Oscar Week here in Hollywood and that means three things…
1. Hollywood Blvd. is closed and they are erecting large gold statues known as Oscar…
2. There’s a certain electricity in the air during Oscar Week. If you live here- you know what I mean. If your visiting -you have picked the best week of the year for celebrity sitings and that’s without taking one of those tacky star bus tours. .
3. There is a mad dash by celebrity stylists to covet (hoard) every possible gorgeous gown in town along with numerous choices of shoes, jewelry and handbags for one’s celebrity client. In the words of Rachel Zoe-You need Options.Lots ad lots of options. . .
On Oscar night you will hear the usual designer names touted by celebrities when asked: “Who are you wearing?” like Valentino,Armani, Vera Wang,Elie Saab (you know the usual suspects),but for my money there is one name that stands out above the rest when it comes to show stopping evening wear. Zuhair Murad. Every creation from his latest Spring 2013 Couture Collection is Oscar worthy and definitely the perfect OPTION for the big night.
It’s finally here: Oscar week. If you live anywhere near Hollywood or just LOVE movies you’re probably all abuzz with Oscar excitement. Granted, the Oscars are a worldwide television spectacular celebrating the best and brightest in cinema but let’s be honest…what we’re really sitting on the edge of our seats waiting in anticipation to see are the GOWNS. You know I’m right on this one. We cannot wait to see what the nominees and other attendees will be wearing. Joan Rivers practically created a second career with the catch phrase: “Who are you wearing?” Of course there will be many of the same familiar designer names touted like Valentino, Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera and as of late Alexander McQueen, Stella McCartney, Gucci and one of my favorites Zuhair Murad. Many times the gowns are directly off the runway from New York Fashion Week (which P.S. by the way) closed last Friday. Talk about a RUSH delivery! Here’s a preview of some Oscar worthy gowns that might just show up on Sundays Red Carpet. Stay tuned….

The Oscars aired this evening (or as I refer to them as Hollywood’s Greatest Gathering of Glamorous Gowns). There were some hits, some misses and some Honey, FIRE YOUR STYLIST ASAP. Being the “kind” Glamour Girl that I am, I will try to be gentle and give a little leeway to “creative expression in dress.” Here we go:

Haliee Steinfield in Marchesa..So darling and Age Appropriate. She designed this dress and Marchesa executed her vision to perfection!
It only seems fitting to highlight a few of the spectacular gowns recently presented by none other than Oscar de la Renta. Here is a brief and I do mean brief… showing from his Fall and Pre-Fall 2011 collections. In the words of Joan Rivers: Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!
Three days and counting until the “Oscars”… (Or as I refer to it- “Glamfest.” The most pressing question on everyone’s mind that night (well besides who is actually going to take home Oscar) is the resounding Joan Rivers sound bite: “Who are you wearing? So, I thought it only fitting to have a little “preview of possibilities”…

New York Fashion Week has only a few more days for designers, models, celebs, celeb-wanna-be’s, and assorted other style seekers to partake. With the Oscars a mere month away you can bet your Rachel Zoe half drunk latte that stylists ( including our 83 pound Zoester are running at full tilt to find the perfect dress for those lucky nominees. Now as a favor to all you Glamour Girls I have perused the collections at Carolina Herrera, Badley Mischka, Donna Karan and others to come to the great and grand conclusion that no one has come close to the Fabulousness of darling of darlings- Monique Lhuillier. Honey, that girl sure knows how to make a dress that says GORGEOUS…so here are just a few to feast your fashion eyes on…..ENJOY!
